I found a recipe for making BREAD
SCULPTURES and decided to try it out this weekend. Have you ever made
bread sculptures? This recipe isn't edible, but I have seen edible
sculptures. Maybe I will search for that recipe too.
It was a fun activity to do with our daughter this weekend.
We first did hand and foot prints and then we created a dragon and a castle.

After the sculptures cooked for hours, our little girl painted her dragon and castle.
RECIPE
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of salt
3/4 cup of hot water
1 tablespoon oil
2 cups of flour
1. Mix salt and water together to dissolve salt. Add oil and flour and mix thoroughly.
2. Children can make free-form sculptures, or roll dough out into circles and press in their hand prints.
3.
Dry in 150-200 degree F oven for one or two hours, turning once. These
can be left natural or painted. We of course tried painting the next
day.
